Hourly rate€32–35/h
Crew3–8 painters
Lead time5–10 working days

Scope of work

  • Filling and smoothing
  • Interior paint and coatings
  • Gypsum and lime plaster
  • Dry lining and insulating plaster
  • Façade painting
  • Floor levelling

What does painting and plastering cost?

The hourly rate is 32 to 35 euros — the cheapest trade after cleaning, because here area really is area. It gets expensive with special coatings, with old substrates that need priming, and with work in occupied buildings. For residential we quote per apartment.

What drives the price

  • Substrate: new build plasters differently from an old flat with wallpaper residue
  • Paint system: dispersion or silicate, one coat or two
  • Work in occupied buildings with protection and phasing

What we do not take on

  • Scaffold and lift
  • Asbestos and mould remediation
  • Colour advice with sample cards

Typical deployments

Residential, 40 units

Eight painters, nine weeks: Q3 filling, two coats, handed over floor by floor.

Office conversion, occupied

Five painters, four weeks: dry lining on old walls, silicate paint, work outside office hours.

Underground car park and plant rooms

Three painters, three weeks: coating on concrete, oil stains pre-treated, slip resistance to specification.

Questions that come up first

Do you paint façades?

Yes, on scaffold or lift. What we do not do is erect the scaffold — that is a specialist firm; we work on it.

Which paints do you use?

Whatever the client specifies. Without a specification we use brands we have worked with on Slovenian sites for years — not no-name product that chalks after two years.

Can you work in occupied buildings?

Yes, with protection and phasing. It costs more time, but it is priced upfront rather than added as a surcharge afterwards.

Do you do floor levelling?

Yes, as preparation for flooring, with moisture measurement and a report. Without measurement nobody is liable for the floor covering afterwards.
